| So I've been working at Barnsley Gardens for about a month and it's pretty nice! I am a gardener and tour guide. As for the pay....it's a pretty sweet deal! Only $8 per hour but I work around 40 hours a week, plus $10-20 (based on the number of people) added to the check if I give a tour during the week or on the weekend, and if the people on the tour tip me, I get to keep any tips!! One group of 5 ladies gave me a $30 tip for a hour and a half tour!! Pretty Sweet!! Oh well....I get paid this Friday and it's gonna be a sweet check because I got $60 for helping give a container class last Saturday plus a couple of tours!! I am actually at work right now but no one showed up to go on my 10:30 tour....it was raining and I can't leave until atleast 2 in case I have a tour at the 1:30 tour time. I'm here alone and I'm so bored. Yesterday was so bad that I brought my DVD player and a movie today to have something to do while I'm just sitting and waiting! I may go check the cold frame and greenhouse and see if they need watering.....probably not since I watered them well yesterday and it was cooler. I hope you are all doing well.....love ya! | | |
| I just wanted to post on here to let my friends, who actually read this thing, know that I have found a job. I'm working at Barnsley Gardens....my first day is Wednesday. I'm excited but scared because tomorrow is my last day to relax. BOO! Oh well....I hope you are all doing well. | | |
| Since my last update I haven't really done much of anything. Normally I sleep until noon unless I have something to do in the morning hours...hardly ever! After I get up, I drive to my house and either pick up something to eat or eat when I get home. While at home I watch Unsolved Mysteries and then I usually put in a movie because nothing good comes on tv during the day. I get a special phone call around 5 and it makes me smile. Later I get ready to see him and we either go out to dinner or just fix something at the house. I like both but prefer to eat in sometimes because it's just nice to have quietness. We usually watch a movie...some old and some new....and just hang out. I like my life right now but I'm kind of bored with it because I'm tired of doing nothing. Today I even went down to my church and helped paint. It really wasn't that bad because there was no great rush to get finished. We finished cutting in and rolling the blue paint. I think they are going to finish the green paint tonight or something. Either way....I went and helped out and the part I did looked good! (Thanks for teaching me how to paint, PAINT NAZI!) I began around 9:30 and came home a little after 12. Now I'm sitting here watching some stupid show on MTV because I've already watched a movie..."The Jungle Book" and there is really nothing on tv. Oh well....I'm gonna go and wait on my phone call!

| Today was awesome! I had Christmas with Ryan, Lori, Keith, Harold, and Edith. It was nice because no little kids were around to be loud. On the way back to Ryan's moms house my mom called me and told me my sister was on the way to the hospital because she was in labour. Robert Joseph Jenkins came into the world at 2:12 this afternoon. He weighed 7 lbs 15.3 oz and was 20 and 1/2 in long. He was a nice size baby and is very cute. However, we now have Bethany and TJ at my house. =( Not so happy about that. They are loud and get in to everything. Oh well....tomorrow is Christmas day and I'm excited because I finally get to see what surprises my parents got for me. I will also get to see what surprises Ryan has in store for me! I think I know what he got me....but I'm gonna keep it a secret until I know for sure. He already gave me one of my presents....a pair of enclosed white gold hoop earrings!!! That was actually the only thing I wanted but he has more stuff for me. I'm excited. I like him so much!!
